Last Saturday, my cousin Lily got married to her fiancé Tom in a beautiful outdoor ceremony.
The bride wore a long white dress, and the groom looked handsome in a smart suit.
They had asked everyone to dress formally, so all the guests wore their best clothes.
The priest led the traditional ceremony, and when Lily and Tom exchanged rings, everyone cheered.
After the ceremony, we went to a big reception hall for a party.
The room was full of colourful flowers and balloons.
Lily’s parents gave the couple a silver wedding anniversary photo frame as a gift, even though they had only just been married.
Tom’s brother, who had been divorced from his wife last year, came alone but seemed happy.
Some younger guests decided to dress informally in jeans and T-shirts, which was fine for the outdoors part of the reception.
Everyone brought a small present for the newlyweds.
It was a day full of joy, and I hope Lily and Tom celebrate their silver wedding anniversary together one day!
