Last Saturday, I visited a famous art gallery with my cousin.
The first room was full of oil paintings, including a beautiful landscape of mountains and a river.
Next to it hung a still life of fruit and flowers, painted with bright watercolors.
In the next room, we saw a large abstract painting that looked like colorful shapes dancing together.
My cousin loved the sculptures, especially a metal figure of a running horse.
Further on, we found an exhibition of pottery and textiles from ancient times.
There was also a small collection of handmade jewellery displayed in glass cases.
A friendly artist showed us her studio, where she was working on a portrait of a woman.
She explained how she draws sketches before starting to paint.
Her artistic skills were amazing!
For example, she showed us a print of a city scene she had made from a carved block.
I learned that many painters prefer to create their work in a quiet studio with natural light.
The whole experience made me want to try drawing and painting more often.
I hope to visit another exhibition soon and discover even more about art.
